George Papamichail is an Innovation & Technology Transfer Advisor at the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) / Science & Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) since 2004.
He has been involved in a number of different national and EU funded RDT projects related to Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Exploitation of Research Outcomes, Technology Transfer (TT) & Intellectual Property management (IP), Business Incubators, as well as with mobility of Greek and foreign researches issues.
He is a partner of the Hellenic National Contact Point (NCP) for the “PEOPLE” FP7 specific Programme, (Marie Curie Actions) and responsible for the “PEOPLE” FP7 One-Stop Shop information center for S. Greece.
He is also member of the Greek and European EURAXESS Networks (Mobility of researchers), and responsible for the Information Office of FORTH for the region of Crete.
He has worked for the Department of Science & Technology at the University of Sussex as a Technology Consultant in a techno-managerial project (work placement).
Studies in Business Administration and Technology & Innovation Management from the Universities of Hertfordshire, Glasgow and Sussex (Science Policy Research Unit – SPRU).
